Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control Unit

The KBI includes agents specializing in the investigation of Medicaid fraud and abuse. These agents, working with OAG prosecutors, secured over ten (10) million dollars in Medicaid fraud recoveries in 2005.

Additionally, every patient in a nursing home, Medicaid facility, or personal care home deserves to be treated with dignity and respect and should be free from patient abuse, neglect or exploitation. Instances of abuse will be investigated, and when appropriate, prosecuted.
